Production

Our production team thrives under pressure and can solve problems quickly without compromising on the project’s creative ambition.

Our directors, producers and camera operators are some of the best in Australia. Their diverse range of skills and experience enables them to capture anything from complex blue chip wildlife shoots, to ‘on-the-fly’ documentaries where storylines are constantly changing.

With a range of high-end production equipment at our fingertips including cameras, lenses, wireless audio, 4WD vehicles and trailers, scuba diving gear, data wrangling stations, 360 rigs, wildlife camera traps and even shark cages – Breakout is a one-stop shop for all your filming needs.

Post Production

Breakout’s creative team has the expertise to maximise stories captured in the field and deliver them to target audiences in unique and compelling ways. Our editors, post-producers, writers, technical assistants and creative executives have a combined forty years’ experience in factual storytelling. We pride ourselves on working creatively under pressure and seeing a project through every stage of post-production – from the first transfer of rushes to final broadcast delivery.

Our sister company, Wild Picture Post, is a fully serviceable post-production house that can accommodate anything from low budget indie feature films to high budget factual entertainment shows for commercial broadcasters. Our six Avid edit suites are complimented by over 200TBs of shared storage and a high-end Da Vinci grading suite – all of which can be made available for your project.

Location Fixing

Are you an international company or broadcaster looking for someone to manage shoot logistics and find the best Australian crew? Perhaps you’re in need of a local production partner to help unlock the substantial state and federal rebates that could fund up to fifty percent of your project?

Whatever the case, Breakout is the ultimate collaborator.

We have filmed in every corner of Australia and maintain strong relationships with everyone we work with. From locating critically endangered species in the remote outback, to gaining access to isolated indigenous communities in Australia’s far north – even organising long range research expeditions to film white sharks hundreds of miles from shore.

No project is too big. No idea is too ambitious.
