Production Coordinator

Applications are now open for the role of Production Coordinator at Breakout Productions. Based at Adelaide Studios in Glenside, Breakout Productions is Adelaide’s leading producer of factual television with a focus on the natural world. Our shows are commissioned by some of the biggest broadcasters on the planet including Warner Brothers Discovery, National Geographic and Love Nature.

To be considered for the role you will have 4+ years’ experience in a production coordinator role where you were primarily responsible for the organisation of various production activities including managing schedules and crew resources.

You will work closely with Breakout’s Head of Production and CEO, across our entire factual television project slate.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with the Head of Production to develop and manage production schedules and budgets.
  • Manage workflow from pre-production through post-production, including securing locations, managing logistics and communicating updates with appropriate staff
  • Organise production insurance and risk assessments and ensure health and safety regulations are followed
  • Address and resolve issues that arise during the production process
  • Maintain clear communication with all stakeholders, including directors, producers, talent and crew members
  • Monitor legal and contractual requirements across production to ensure they are met

Selection Criteria

Essential Criteria

  • 4+ years’ experience in production coordination or management
  • Strong organizational and computer literacy skills
  • Ability to manage schedules and resources effectively, including booking local and international travel and applying for film permits
  • Knowledge of workplace health and safety standards
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to take direction and meet deadlines
  • Sound writing and research skills

Desirable Criteria

  • SA based resident
  • Experience working in factual or children’s television
  • Experience in wildlife filmmaking
  • Knowledge of post-production workflow
